Folks, it has been way too long since I’ve posted something on this blog. It’s sad because it’s not that I haven’t been whipping up delicious goodness in my kitchen since my last post. In fact, I totally have. Tasty stuff, I might add. What’s sad and wrong about this situation is that I’m not sharing this delectable goodness with you on the regular! But a lot of stuff has been happening in the last few months: I got a new legal job, I got engaged, and I ran a half marathon/fundraised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. So this girl has been bi-ZEE!
So why post now? My half marathon is done (though I decided to sign up for the L.A. marathon in March…gulp) and I recently went to this little book store in Northridge, The $10 or Less Bookstore, where I made some crazy awesome culinary bibliophile finds!
Seriously, I bought Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volumes I and II, for $8. Of course they’re lightly used, but these books go for $80-$100 new!!! I was in foodie book HEAVEN and I couldn’t stop myself! I’ll tell you about my favorites in the coming weeks and post new recipes, but my finds this week inspired me to finally get back to you, dear reader!
Get ready, y’all, ’cause I’m baaaaaaaack!
